The Donkey Sanctuary delighted to receive a Certificate of Excellence for 2015 as visitors highly rate the experience.
The Donkey Sanctuary has been in operation for twenty eight years, rescued almost 5,000 donkeys and welcomed thousands of visitors throughout the years. The staff of The Donkey Sanctuary are committed to providing love, care and protection to animals in need as well as leaving the people who visit with a lasting memory.
The dedicated staff at the Sanctuary were thrilled and extremely proud to receive a Cetificate of Excellence for 2015 from Trip Advisor. This is fantastic recognition for the outstanding work carried out.
The Donkey Sanctuary has a great deal to offer the people who visit this peaceful haven: firstly there is no admission fee and parking is free. There is an abundance of beautiful donkeys at the open farm that love to welcome visitors, there are scenic walks available and it is a very safe environment for children. Dogs welcome on leads.
The Visitor Information Centre was recently revamped with a beautiful decking, benches and sun umbrellas. Visitors can enjoy an ice cream while taking in the fresh air and overlooking green fields full with donkeys.
The Sanctuary welcomed a number of foals to the farm as several pregnant mares that were rescued recently gave birth. These adorable foals love to meet new people and are a huge hit with people of all ages. There are numerous events held at The Donkey Sanctuary in Liscarroll throughout the year, more information can be found on our Facebook page and website.
The Sanctuary exists to rescue, rehabilitate and protect donkeys in Ireland and to prevent cruelty and suffering amongst these adorable animals. The Sanctuary relies solely on donations from the public and every donation is gratefully received.
