We are delighted to welcome visitors back once again to our Open Farm. We know you have missed our donkeys and they have missed you too.
This is the first time we will open the farm to the public since March 2020 and we want to ensure the safety of you and your family along with the safety of our staff and the animals in our care. We also want to assist in preventing the spread of Covid-19 in our community so we have new procedures and protocols in place that you will see during your visit.
Book your visit in advance
To begin with, we will be opening for a couple of days a week, with reduced number of visitors on site at any one time. We are welcoming visitors to our sanctuary on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week during August and September 2021.
Tickets must be booked at this link Book Tickets in advance of visiting our Open Farm. One ticket will allow one car with a maximum of seven people from the same household entry to our sanctuary. If you do not have a ticket, you will not be permitted to enter.
We are sure you have some questions about visiting our sanctuary. Please see below for some frequently asked questions that we are sure will help you.
It’s been a hard year.
As well as missing visitors, we have missed out on the donations that visitors make when they come to the Open Farm. Making a donation, virtually adopting a donkey and buying our donkey related products all help us to continue our vital work.
We don’t charge an entry fee but we welcome and encourage donations and hope that you can make a donation in advance of your visit or when you are here. To donate today please click here
At all times while you are visiting The Donkey Sanctuary, visitors are asked to observe current government guidelines around gatherings outdoors.
