The Donkey Sanctuary, Ireland
Free admission, pre-booking required
Walkways are now open: We are happy to announce that we have re-opened all walkways after a period of dry weather. However, as your safety remains our priority, we ask that you take extra care on steep inclines to reduce the risk of slipping.
We are delighted to welcome visitors to our Open Farm. Here is all the information you need to book your visit.
We want to ensure the safety of you and your family along with the safety of our staff and the animals in our care. We also want to assist in preventing the spread of Covid-19 in our community so we have procedures and protocols in place that you will see during your visit.
Our sanctuary is open to the public five days a week:
Planning your visit
To help us manage this, we have implemented an online booking system for visits between:
- 9.30 am - 12.30 pm
- 1.30 pm - 4.00 pm
Tickets must be booked in advance.
One ticket will allow one car with a maximum of seven people from the same household entry to our sanctuary.
As well as missing visitors, we have missed out on the donations that visitors make when they come to the Open Farm. Making a donation, virtually adopting a donkey and buying our donkey related products all help us to continue our vital work.
We don’t charge an entry fee but we welcome and encourage donations and hope that you can make a donation in advance of your visit or when you are here.
At all times while you are visiting The Donkey Sanctuary, visitors are asked to observe current government guidelines around gatherings outdoors.
