As Covid-19 continues to spread, the impact of the virus is being felt by many communities around the world. Governments and health authorities are the best sources of advice on measures people should take to reduce transmission and risk of infection in their areas. In Ireland visit the HSE website at https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/coronavirus/coronavirus.html
for more information.
Our Welfare Team have put together some information to help advise you on how to care for your donkeys at this time. Please see the PDF below for more details. We want to reassure donkey owners that our Welfare Team is still on hand to offer support and guidance. Contact our Welfare office on + 353 (0) 22 49013 if you want to discuss any aspects of your donkey’s care.
Report donkey cruelty
The Donkey Sanctuary has a dedicated team of Donkey Welfare Advisers across Ireland who investigate reports of cruelty to or neglect of donkeys.
As a direct consequence of members of the public getting in touch, many donkeys and mules are rescued and saved from further suffering.
