Our charity has faced significant challenges caused by the donkey welfare crisis, and the latest, shocking case of neglect and abandonment involved 20 donkeys in Galway.

We have almost 1,200 donkeys living on our four farms, so there's never a dull moment. We've also welcomed some fantastic new members in the past few months.

After receiving a call about a pair of neglected donkeys, we worked with the ISPCA and My Lovely Horse Rescue to find them a warm and safe shelter. 

Following a distressing video that circulated online, two donkeys are now recovering at Hungry Horse Outside and a mare and foal are safe in our care.
