A five day Christmas Tree Festival was held at St Columb's Cathedral in Derry. Over 100 Christmas trees from local businesses and organisations were displayed in the Cathedral. Each business pieced together their own unique tree to reflect their organisation for the cross community festival. Entertainment ranged from local choirs, schools and soloists throughout the festival.
The Donkey Sanctuary was approached by the Cathedral's committee and asked if it was possible to bring along two Donkey Sanctuary donkeys to support the festival. Jacob and Esau were chosen and represented The Sanctuary superbly. They posed for photographs with local schools as well as greeting the many visitors that passed through the Cathedral. Jacob and Esau blossomed in the attention and affection they received. A great day was had by all.
