Jacinta was born here at the Sanctuary in 1997. You will notice her immediately when you visit as she is strawberry roan in colour.
Adoption donkeys
By adopting one of the donkeys in our adoption scheme you will be helping us in our work of improving the lives of countless donkeys throughout Ireland.
Julie Anne
Julie-Anne was born on 2nd July 2007. Her mother, Raynah, was rescued and was found to be pregnant on her arrival to the Sanctuary. Julie Anne is a delightful, inquisitive, lively donkey.
Lorcan
Lorcan was only a year old when came into the Sanctuary in 1995 and his ears were badly damaged after being chased by youths into a barbed wire fence leaving his ears badly damaged.
Richie
Richie was orphaned at just 10 days old after his mother died of blood poisoning. Richie was bottle fed milk substitute for several weeks, but he quickly took to feeding from a bucket on his own.
Timmy
Timmy was born at the Sanctuary in 1991 but his mother rejected him from birth. He is a most handsome brown colour and loves the company of donkeys and people alike.
How do I adopt?
The adoption fee is €20 per year and you will receive details of the donkey you decide to adopt, together with a beautiful drawing, an adoption certificate and a twice-yearly report. For an extra €10 we will send you a DVD of the adopted donkey group.
