As part of our summer seasonal team we want to recruit a part time team members to work within our Visitor Information Centre Knockardbane, Liscarroll.

Working 35 hours per week from 4th June to 27th September 2013, you will be responsible for advising visitors of the work of the Charities, answering queries and dealing with Donkey World shop sales. You will have excellent customer service skills and have some experience of using IT will be useful; however, full training will be provided.

In this challenging and busy role, we are looking for a full time, permanent Veterinary Nurse to be based at The Donkey Sanctuary Ireland (Ltd) which is located near Mallow, Co. Cork.

Working 39 hours per week, you will be responsible for preparing and administering treatments to our resident animals and will assist our Veterinary Surgeons with providing medical and surgical support to the donkeys. Knowledge of equines and a full valid driving licence is essential.

We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to raise and increase the annual income for The Donkey Sanctuary Ireland Ltd; developing and meeting strategic aims and annual fundraising targets, in order to support the care and welfare of donkeys and mules in the Republic of Ireland.

You should have proven experience in a relevant fundraising and/or marketing role and be a Member of the Institute of Fundraising.

To support our role in providing care to donkeys and mules in the Republic of Ireland, we are recruiting a part time, PA to the Head of Operations on a fixed term maternity cover contract until July 2013.

You will provide secretarial and administrative support to Head of Operations and will assist work colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the Operations function at The Donkey Sanctuary Ireland. Duties will include arranging appointments and meetings, arranging travel, preparing reports and daily secretarial experience.

To support our role in providing care to donkeys and mules in the Republic of Ireland, UK and overseas, we are recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon on a fixed term contract until April 2014. You will primarily undertake routine and emergency clinical care of all animals cared for by The Donkey Sanctuary, based at our farms at The Donkey Sanctuary near Liscarroll Co. Cork.

You will hold a veterinary degree with MRCVS and, or MVB or be registered with the VCI (Veterinary Council of Ireland) and ideally you will have a keen interest in equine practice.

We are looking for a part time Accounts Clerk for a fixed term maternity cover contract until November 2013. The main purpose of the role is to maintain systems and procedures for all accounting transactions at The Donkey Sanctuary, Liscarroll, Ireland and maintain regular contact on accounting matters with the Charity’s accountants and auditors in Ireland and with the Chief Accountant of The Donkey Sanctuary, UK.

Previous accounts experience and knowledge of basic book-keeping is essential.
