The Donkey Sanctuary are hosting a sponsored Horse & Carriage Drive in conjunction with Dolla Horse & Driving Club from Tipperary.
The drive will start at The Donkey Sanctuary at 1pm, viewers will have the opportunity to take photos and see the horses. There could be between 30 - 40 horses and carriages taking part. The drive will go through Dromina, Churchtown and Liscarroll and back to the Sanctuary. They will stop at The Bridge Bar in Ballyhea for refreshments. More photo opportunites here!
The Easter Egg Hunt here at The Donkey Sanctuary commenced on Friday 22nd March 2012 and will run every day until Sunday 7th April. Come and join in the fun.
Ten wooden eggs are hidden along the walkway, buy a map and entry form in the Visitors Information Centre for only €2 per child. When you have found all the clues, claim your prize back at the Information Centre and also be added into a draw for larger prizes which will be drawn on Monday 8th April 2012.
Carol singing around the crib by the children of Liscarroll N.S. will take place at The Donkey Sanctuary on Wednesday 19th December 2012 at approximately 1pm. Blessing of the crib and the draw for our Grand Christmas raffle also takes place.
We have a hamper on display in the Visitors' Centre, lines are €2.

We are holding a Christmas Craft and Food Fair at Hannigans Farm on Sunday 2nd December 2012 from 12pm to 4pm. Admission free. We have over 30 stands booked in ranging from home made jewellery, beautiful wooden crafts, home baking, porcelain Christmas decorations, personalised embroidery to name but a few. We will also have our own stand selling Christmas cards, calendars, soft toys and gifts.
The Donkey Sanctuary are attending Pet Kingdom in the INEC in Killarney from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th November. Come along and buy some of our Christmas cards, 2013 Calendars, pet accessories, books and gifts.
A 6km sponsored walk will take place on Saturday 29th September 2012 in Liscarroll starting at The Donkey Sanctuary at 11am. This is a fundraising event for The Donkey Sanctuary, sponsorship cards are available, we are hoping that as many people as possible will take part in the walk, to make it a fun day.
Cards have been given to all staff and volunteers, everyone are welcome to come and take part to help raise much needed funds. As we approach the winter months, feeding costs will rise and there is usually extra calls for donkeys to be relinquished to the Sanctuary.
