Donkeys go back to school

Donkey Sanctuary logo

Last week Paddy Barrett and Katie Reed met 140 first and second year students at Selesian College, Pallaskenry, Co Limerick. They took with them two donkeys - Moses and Finn. For some students, it was the first time they had met a donkey and of course the donkeys themselves loved all the fuss and attention!

Education programme

School visit

The Donkey Sanctuary feels that it is vital to educate the public about donkey welfare, and the proper way to care for donkeys in order to help stop cruelty and neglect. In order to facilitate this, the Sanctuary has a dedicated team of staff that go out to schools, clubs and different groups throughout Ireland to talk to people about the Sanctuary and the work we do.
