We’ve decided to give you an update on Tiffany and Noelie who travelled to their new home in Co Mayo earlier this year. Their new foster mom Margaret sends us regular updates and we are very grateful to her for this.

She tells us that they have become real pets however Tiffany is still a little shy with strangers and Noelie is very protective of her.

They live in a lovely paddock adjacent to Margaret’s home and after a shaky start with Rusty the dog they are now good friends.

She told us a funny story of a young black sheep who broke into their paddock. Tiffany and Noelie started to chase him, the sheep then started chasing Rusty the dog (a collie mix!) - they were all chasing each other all over the field; the cats were looking out the window and got such a fright they hid every where they could. They all gave up eventually and resumed normal activities.

It’s lovely to hear these stories and know that it’s all been worth while and donkeys who have come from bad circumstances can now live happily in new loving homes.
