This one day workshop is a continuing education course open to veterinary surgeons only which will be held on Wednesday 13th October 2010 at Liscarroll, Mallow, Co Cork from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and will cover a variety of equine topics, with particular reference to the donkey.
Topics will include:
- Professor Derek Knottenbelt, OBE, BVM&S, DVMS, DipECEIM, MRCVS will discuss exotic diseases and equine skin conditions.
- Dr Nora Matthews, DVM Diplomate ACVA will talk about equine anaesthesia and analgesia.
- Joe Collins, MRB, MRCVS, Cert EP, Cert VR, NUI will discuss equine welfare in Ireland.
Other topics covered will include equine dentistry, farriery, nutrition and castrations.
The day will include lectures and hands on practical sessions.
Attendance at this course is awarded 6 CVE credits.
