Eileen, Eugene and our two celebrity donkeys Neddy and Cecil joined me recently when I accepted an invitation to a very special Animal Blessing in the Church of Ireland in Passage West, Co Cork. Reverend Adrian Wilkinson, Elizabeth Shannon and helpers made us feel very welcome and as usual the donkeys did us proud. They were not in the least distracted by the many four legged friends they met at the gathering - all behaving impeccably I'm glad to report!
Last week we were delighted to accept €700 from Elizabeth and friends after her visit to the Sanctuary which will enable Tim, who organises farrier visits, to book in another 60 hoof trims in the next few weeks.
