On a bright sunny June Bank Holiday Monday it was wonderful to see so many ladies gathered in the middle of Dublin city for the Flora Mini Marathon – 17 of which were running for the donkeys. 40,000 ladies in all ran through the streets of the city to raise some much needed funds for various charities throughout Ireland – a tremendous turn out on such a glorious day.
As always all money collected for The Donkey Sanctuary will be put to very good use in caring for the donkeys and Geraldine will look forward to receiving these much needed donations. A very big thank you from the donkeys!
It was great to be a part of this wonderful opportunity to raise funds and awareness for our beloved donkeys. Also, a big Thank You to Mr. & Mrs. Barrett for taking time out of Mr. Barrett's Birthday weekend to meet with all of us at the start of the race.
