"Why Does My Donkey Summer Tour"

Donkey watching

Whether you are an experienced equine owner, have newly acquired donkeys or are thinking of purchasing one of our four-legged friends - this workshop is for you! The workshops are organised by our Welfare Department and are completely free to attend.

Don't miss this opportunity to challenge your thinking, boost your donkey knowledge and meet like-minded people. Everything you learn can be taken home and used in your individual environment with your own donkeys.

Owning or caring for donkeys can be challenging at the best of times, but when their behaviour stops making any sense to us, or they behave in an inappropriate way, it can be problematic, confusing and above all frustrating! The "Why Does My Donkey Summer Tour" is designed to help unravel some of the confusion and myths that surround donkey behaviour.

We will consider how donkeys see, smell and hear, so that we can begin to understand how they may think. We will look at how their evolution effects their motivation in domestication, and will cover all aspects of how our behaviour can affect theirs, for better and for worse! The day (10.00 am - 4.00 pm) will be taught in a fun and enthusiastic way with a mixture of theory and practical sessions allowing plenty of time for questions throughout the day.
