This lovely donkey, Paddy OD, arrived at the Sanctuary in a dreadful condition. His feet were appallingly overgrown and he had an untreated injury to his hind leg caused by a piece of wire that had become ingrown right down to the bone. It was painful for him to walk and he will now require our expert care and attention for the rest of his life.

This year the administrative and fundraising costs of The Donkey Sanctuary were only 8.4 pence for every £1 of the total income generated for the charity.
