Helping to turn on the Christmas lights

Helping to turn on the Christmas lights

For the third year in a row two donkeys from the Donkey Sanctuary in Liscarroll have helped turn on the Christmas lights at County Cork. In the past both Moses and Lucky Lady have gone along, but this year it was the turn of Finn to take Lucky Lady's place as she has now stepped down from her public duties.

The ceremony was held on Tuesday 2nd December in The Lough (meaning "lake"), an area of outstanding natural beauty full of wildlife. At precisely 7.00 pm the lights were switched on with the help of the two donkeys to the delight of the thousands of people in the crowd!
