On 23rd July the Sanctuary held a special anniversary celebrating 21 years of rescuing and rehabilitating thousands of donkeys in Ireland. As part of the celebrations a new walkway was opened to visitors.

Paddy Barrett says: "I would like to thank everyone for their great co-operation and help over the last few weeks in preparing for the 21st anniversary celebrations, which were a great success. God gave us a lovely day with beautiful weather and big crowds, who all enjoyed themselves and their visit to the Sanctuary for the occasion".

A special word of thanks to all the staff for their hard work, the maintenance, office, Visitor Information, farm, welfare and veterinary staff, and also all the staff in Devon. It was a big team effort from everyone.
